This course is the capstone course of the three units of credit required for a Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation. This course is a continuation and extension of the Integrated Algebra R and Geometry R courses that preceded it. This series prepares the students for success in PreCalculus and AP Statistics and/or AP Calculus. Students will represent and analyze algebraically a variety of problems. Within this course, the number system will be extended to include imaginary and complex numbers. The families of functions to be studied will include polynomial, absolute value, radical, trigonometric, exponential, and logarithmic functions. Problem situations involving direct and indirect variation will be solved. Problems resulting in systems of equations will be solved graphically and algebraically. Data analysis will be extended to include measures of dispersion and the analysis of regression that model functions studied throughout this course. Right triangle trigonometry will be expanded to include the investigation of circular functions. Problem situations requiring the use of trigonometric equations and identities will also be investigated. Graphing Calculators will be required for use by the student. The course will conclude with the Algebra 2 & Trigonometry Regents exam

The course emphasizes understanding of broad concepts rather than memorization of science facts. Key Ideas covered include: Mechanics, Energy, Electricity and Magnetism, Waves, and Modern Physics. Historical content, uncertainty in measurement, significant figures and SI units are included in the introduction of the core. In addition the material on the Physics Reference Tables is considered part of the core curriculum and is testable. The course culminates with a Regents exam. Students must successfully complete 1,200 minutes of NY State mandated handson laboratory exercises in order to be eligible to sit for the exam. A satisfactory laboratory writeup is the criteria for successful completion of the lab exercise. (LAB REQUIRED)

AP Calculus AB course is devoted to topics in differential and integral calculus. The AP course covers topics in these areas, including concepts and skills of limits, derivatives, definite integrals, and the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus. This course teaches students concepts and problems when they are represented graphically, numerically, analytically and verbally, and to make connections amongst these representations.
Instruction: Blended – Online & Live Dialogs
Cost: $149

AP Calculus BC is roughly equivalent to a first and second semester college calculus course and extends the content learned in AB to in different types of equations and introduces the topic of sequence and series. The AP course covers topics in these areas, including concepts and skills of limits, derivatives, definite integrals, and the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus.
Instruction: Blended – Online & Live Dialogs
Cost: $149

The AP Statistics course is equivalent to a onesemester, introductory, noncalculusbased college course in statistics. The course introduces students to the major concepts and tools for collecting, analyzing, and drawing conclusions from data. There are four themes in the AP Statistics course: exploring data, sampling, and experimentation, anticipating patterns, and statistical inference. Students use technology, investigations, problem solving, and writing as they build conceptual understanding.
Instruction: Blended – Online & Live Dialogs
Cost: $149

The AP Chemistry course cultivates the student understanding of chemistry through inquirybased investigations, as they explore topics such as: atomic structure, intermolecular forces and bonding, chemical reactions, kinetics, thermodynamics, and equilibrium.

The College Algebra course covers material that is usually taught in a onesemester college course in algebra. The CLEP test is made up of
routine problems requiring students to demonstrate an understanding of algebraic concepts. Topics covered include basic algebraic operations; linear and quadratic equations, inequalities, and graphs; algebraic, exponential, and logarithmic functions; and other selected algebraic topics.
Instruction: Online
Cost: $79

The College Mathematics course covers material generally taught in a college course for nonmathematics majors and majors. The content requires students to be able to demonstrate the ability to solve both routine, straightforward problems and nonroutine problems that require an understanding of concepts and the application of skills. Topics included are sets, logic, real number systems, functions and graphs, probability and statistics, as well as selected topics in algebra and geometry.
Instruction: Online
Cost: $79

The Precalculus course covers the following topics linear, quadratic, absolute value, square root, and polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic, trigonometric, inverse trigonometric and piecewisedefined functions. Questions on the exam will present these types of functions symbolically, graphically, verbally or in tabular form. Precalculus covers the materials which are considered to be prerequisites for Calculus I.
Instruction: Online
Cost: $79

This course covers limits, differential calculus and integral calculus. The exam CLEP is primarily concerned with an intuitive understanding of calculus and experience with its methods and applications. This requires knowledge of algebra, geometry, trigonometry and analytic geometry.
